Kiwimbi Kenya, Board Chair
Dorothy is passionate about fulfilling the astute proverbial wisdom: “If you give a man a fish, he will be hungry tomorrow. If you teach a man to fish, he will be richer forever”; and identifies Kiwimbi as a great opportunity for participation in sustainable development. Over time, it is clear Kiwimbi is making significant contribution in liberating young minds through education and exposure to a variety of unique programs. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest means to move individuals and the community into unbounded hope for the future. I’m thrilled to be a part of this transformation journey.
As one thankfully raised in a household where the culture of reading was instilled early in life by my parents who sacrificed much to provide an excellent education for their children, I love the palpable buzz at Kiwimbi’s Learning Center in Amagoro where children and youth develop key life skills including critical thinking, boldness, ethics and values alongside a thirst for knowledge and a healthy self-identity. I love to volunteer my professional skills and experience in development; and I’m excited about the advancement being witnessed through Kiwimbi.
