Helping to carry out Kiwimbi’s mission has been a passion for Carol since 2014. It started in earnest when she traveled to Kenya with a Kiwimbi Friend’s group and saw firsthand the thirst for knowledge exhibited by these students of western Kenya under extremely challenging conditions. Having ready access to books and a chance at continuing to high school were reasons for Carol to do what she could to make what those in the United States take for granted possible.
Carol’s sincere interest is to make others aware of Kiwimbi’s activities and programs that benefit thousands of students and the community at large. As a grassroots, Kenyan-managed community center focused on education, Kiwimbi contributes substantially to what it means to be educated. And Carol believes education is the greatest gift anyone can receive.
