Emmanuel joined Kiwimbi as a volunteer after high school, before going to university. He has now been a member of the Kiwimbi community for ten years and his sense of purpose and the clarity of his calling is profound. Working one-on-one with children, helping them to not only become literate in English but also teaching them how to navigate emotional landmines that come with being economically underprivileged, or living in dysfunctional family situations, has been something he finds to be particularly inspiring. Working for Kiwimbi has expanded his sense of what a community really means and he feels privileged to be part of the larger Kiwimbi community and is deeply humbled by the trust bestowed on him to change the lives of the children.
