Paul Burnore
Trustee, Kiwimbi International
Paul’s experiences in education, volunteerism, and overseas work drew him to Kiwimbi, first as a visitor, where he saw the children’s eagerness to read and learn, and the teachers’ dedication to serve their students. He had seen this atmosphere of learning and personal growth in other countries where he served, but Kiwimbi’s growth over a decade matched it’s track record of more successful results year by year. He wanted to be part of the positive spirit that was improving these students’ lives.
Paul was motivated by the three goals of the Peace Corps: to help those in need help themselves, to improve our understanding of other cultures, and to assist those in other cultures understand us. He would like others to see the Kiwimbi model of learning and growth, and then replicate it in other locations outside Amagoro.
